These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Octovel website (octovel.org) and all open-source software, tools, and services maintained by the Octovel organization (“Products”). By accessing the website or using any of our Products, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Octovel is a non-profit, volunteer-driven open-source organization. Our Products are provided free of charge and without warranty. Please read these Terms carefully before using any Octovel service or software.

All Octovel Products are released under open-source licenses. The specific license applicable to each project is identified in the LICENSE file located at the root of the relevant repository. By using any Octovel Product, you agree to comply with the terms of its applicable license.
The content published on octovel.org, including text, graphics, logos, and documentation, is the property of Octovel unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from website content without prior written permission, except where such use is expressly permitted by an applicable open-source or Creative Commons license.
By submitting a contribution to any Octovel repository, you agree that your contribution will be licensed under the same license as the project you are contributing to. You affirm that you have the right to submit the contribution and that it does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
The Octovel name and associated logos are the property of the Octovel organization. Nothing in these Terms grants you the right to use the Octovel name or trademarks in connection with any product, service, or activity without prior written authorization.
Your use of the Octovel website is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Octovel does not collect, store, or process any personal data, usage data, or telemetry of any kind. You may stop using the Octovel website and Products at any time. As Octovel does not collect or store any personal data, there is no data to request removal of on our end. If you have interacted with third-party platforms such as GitHub or Discord, refer to their respective privacy policies for data removal procedures.
Octovel reserves the right to suspend or permanently restrict your access to any community space, repository, or service at its sole discretion, with or without notice, if you are found to have violated these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or any applicable law.
Termination of access does not affect any rights or obligations that arose prior to termination, and does not entitle you to any refund or compensation.
Upon termination of your access, any licenses granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property rights, limitation of liability, and any accrued obligations, will continue to apply.
Octovel reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. When changes are made, the effective date at the top of this document will be updated accordingly. For significant changes, notice will be provided through appropriate community channels. Your continued use of the website or Products following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
